How to Apply
Our most recent funding round, rapid impact fund round 12 has closed for applications.
When we decide the dates to open new funding rounds for applications, we announce them here on this page. Once the funding round is open, we use this page to let potential applicants know how to access the application form.
Currently, dates have not been set for the next funding round. The best way of keeping in touch with our work and funding opportunities is to subscribe to our mailing list by completing this quick form.
Stage 1
The application form
When a round opens, we will provide a link to an online application form. The first part of this form asks for information such as contact details, school or college URN and your job title. Once we have confirmed that your application meets the criteria of the funding round, the form gives you an opportunity to tell us:
- About the issue(s) that your autistic students face and the barriers present in your school/college (200 character limit).
- About your idea and how SCF funding will help you address the issues and barriers previously described (600 character limit).
- How autistic students (and where appropriate, their families) will be actively involved in designing, delivering and reviewing the project (200 character limit).
- What impact the funding will have on autistic students and the school/college (200 character limit).
Take time to read the round-specific guidance and scoring criteria against which your completed application will be judged. Your application needs to be clear, and help us to understand how it addresses these criteria. Our FAQs also give you top tips about how to apply, what to consider, and the best way to answer our questions.
Stage 2
Review and decision
Here, you wait while SCF reviews your application. SCF trustees will be involved in the decision-making process.
Stage 3
Payment
If you are successful, we ask you to:
- Confirm the contact details of the person responsible for using the funding.
- Sign our terms and conditions document (see an example here).
- Send us your bank details.
We want you to get funding as soon as possible. The sooner you provide the requested information, the sooner we can release funds to you. This process is usually completed quickly once documentation has been received and checked.
